Janice K. Brewer
Chairman
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors

Ms. Brewer was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1996 following 14
years in the State Legislature as both a Representative (1983-1986) and as
a Senator (1987-1996). While serving in the Senate she held the position of
Majority Whip (1993-1996)

Ms. Brewer should be able to provide us with an interesting perspective on
Arizona politics and issues.

Bill is a highly awarded newspaperman having been the Editor of the Arizona
Daily Star (and other papers).

Bill has many interesting insights and memories to share (including a
private tour of the White House by President John F. Kennedy!)

Come and hear some entertaining insights into our times by a very
interesting speaker.

Hon. Earl H. Carroll
Federal District Court Judge

Judge Carroll (a Significant Sig) in addition to sitting on the District
Court was appointed by Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist to sit
on the Foreign Intelligence and Terrorist Court and as Chief Judge on the
Alien and Terrorist Removal Court. Judge Carroll will be talking to us
about these two very special courts.

This should be a very interesting topic from a distinguished member of the
Court and our own ranks.
